Green Chia Seed Pudding
Green chia seed pudding? Excuse me?! I know this is what you’re thinking right now. And I don’t blame you! If anyone would said to me, if I wanted green pudding I would politely decline. Haha. But guys, let me tell you this thing is amazing! You can’t actually taste the green powder in it. It will just make your dessert super healthy. And the color is pretty nice too.
If you want to switch things up a bit with your chia seed puddings, this is a great recipe for you. Oh, and did I mentioned it is the easiest recipes ever? You honestly need just 4 essential ingredients, other ones are totally optional. Mix them all in a bowl, leave the mixture it in the fridge for about an hour and your dessert is ready. One bowl recipe AND super easy? Yes please.
If you find the pudding at the end too thick, just add some extra milk or water. And if you want to get a little fancy with it, add some pieces of dark chocolate on top. Sooo good!
Chia seeds are one of the super foods and there is reason for that. Chia seeds are full of omega-3 fatty acids. They actually contain much more of those omega-3 acids than salmon. They are also full of fiber. One tablespoon of chia seeds contains 5 grams of fiber. And the fibers are known to reduce the chance of chronic diseases. They also contain 2 grams of protein per tablespoon. In chia seeds we can also find antioxidants, which are very good for our blood cells and also our skin.
The combination of fiber and protein in chia seeds, plus the fact that they triple their size when you put them in liquid, contributes to feeling of fullness. That means chia seeds are also recommended to use in weight loss diets.
